Set game!
Today was the set game challenge. This was my second time playing set game while the first time was during a Maths lesson meant for this Set Game Challenge. The rules were very easy to understand. First, find sets which must be either all same or all different in numbers, fillings, colour and shape. Second, ring the bell and take the set. If you get one set which is not a set, sorry, you must surrender all the sets you find. Obviously, the team with more sets win.
Surrendering cards made a l0t of people lost the game, but Brolin and I never lost a single set due to picking the wrong set. Yarn Kit and Chern Yuen were trashed at the first round as Yarn Kit accidentally rang the bell for no reason. That must be embarassing for them, especially Chern Yuen the Mathematics Champion in our class. Only my group, Binglin and Wenshen (they got a walkover as no remaining team can challenge with them), Javan and Runze got through. First round my group won Yong Rui and Yichao by 18 sets to 2 sets. Yichao lost his 6 sets of cards due to his accident ringing of bell. My group lost at second round by 13 to 11 to two seniors. Actually if Brolin could do as good as the first round, we should have won! I found 8 sets at second round, losing 9 sets at the second round. Brolin, however, seems to lost his "power" of finding the sets and only got 3 sets, far dropped from 8 sets he got first round. Losing the game wasn't a terrible outcome, as I improved my skill in finding sets, making me more accuate in doing things. Someone always says that Losing is not a bad outcome, and the best outcome is that you learn through the process. That is right! Relieve! We will be back next year!
1M surely can get to 3 round, at least a group. You know why? Javan and Runze was challenging Binglin and Wehshen in second round! That means, no matter who wins that game, 1M will have someone would get to quarter finals. Runze said he was like no use in the game. Javan found 10 sets in the first game and Runze only get 3 sets. Javan told me he won Binglin's group and lost in 3 round. But after reviving back to semi-finals, he lost to seniors.
